Can You Get A Facelift & A Neck Lift at the Same Time?

It’s rare for aging to occur in one area at a time. Many men and women that walk into our office have multiple concerns they’d like to address in a single session. The good news is, face and neck lift procedures are very commonly performed together. The reason? Patients can achieve more dramatic anti-aging outcomes with less overall downtime with combination procedures.

At Specialty Aesthetic Surgery, we’re committed to providing custom procedures based on our patients’ individual needs. While one patient may be better suited for combination procedures, another might be able to get the results they want with one or the other. Let’s take a closer look at your options.

Facelift

The primary goal of a facelift is to address common aging concerns on the jowls and mid-face. There are several types of facelift techniques that can be enlisted, depending on your unique aging pattern and facial structure. A facelift is generally done under general anesthesia and can take anywhere from 3-4 hours to complete. When done correctly, you’ll regain a naturally more youthful outward appearance.

Neck Lift

A neck lift focuses on excess fullness and sagging skin in the neck. A double chin, which in some cases gives the appearance of a turkey waddle, can be addressed with a neck lift. The procedure takes anywhere from 2-4 hours and produces a well-defined jawline from every angle.

Combination Procedures

Many men and women opt to combine face and neck lift procedures. That’s because most aging patients show signs of aging in both the face and neck, and a single combination procedure allows them to address several areas at once. There isn’t generally any extra downtime when you add a neck lift to your facelift or vice versa.

A skilled surgeon can produce significant anti-aging results in about 4 hours, making combination procedures a cost-effective option for many. You’ll be able to enjoy a more youthful overall appearance while saving on facility fees, anesthesia costs, and other surgical expenses.
