How Much is Hair Restoration?

If you want to restore the thick, full-looking hair you once had, now you can achieve it using your own hair follicles. Hair restoration can rejuvenate hair in balding or thinning areas. Many people feel that the benefits of hair restoration far outweigh the costs.

What is Hair Restoration?

Hair thins or disappears when the hair follicles become inactive. Hair restoration takes follicles from areas with active hair growth and transplants them to the areas of concern. Because the follicles come from areas with thick, healthy hair, they will continue to grow these hairs in their new location.

Hair Restoration

What is Hair Restoration Like?

Because each hair follicle is placed individually, your hair restoration will take a good part of the day. Placing the follicles in a way that matches your hair growth gives you a natural-looking result. Your scalp will be numbed with a local anesthetic, so you do not feel any discomfort during the procedure.

How Much is Hair Restoration?

The cost of hair restoration will vary according to several factors:

  • Your location and cost of living in the area
  • Your provider’s skill and experience
  • The size of the treatment area

Hair restoration costs vary widely, so you may find both very high and very low prices. You should consider the fact that the skill of your provider will determine whether your outcome looks healthy and natural or uneven and patchy.

What Results Will I See From Hair Restoration?

After the transplanted follicles have time to establish themselves, you will see them start to grow hair. Hair will grow to fill in thinning or balding areas. This hair behaves exactly like it did in its previous location. Once your scalp has healed, you can do anything with this hair that you would have done with the hair you lost.

What is Recovery Like From Hair Restoration?

Your scalp will feel sore and swollen for several days, and you may have antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications during that time. Your head will have bandages on it for at least a day or two. Most people can go back to work in three to five days. The transplanted follicles will shed their hairs after the procedure then start to grow new hair in about a month.

Am I a Good Candidate for Hair Restoration?

You may be a good candidate for hair restoration if you have areas of thinning or hair loss. Good candidates have reasonable expectations about what to expect from the procedure and how much new growth they may see.
