You will be given local anesthesia for the procedure, which will make you more comfortable and make sure you don’t feel any pain during the surgery. The performing doctor will place small incisions through the mouth in an effort to conceal the procedure. They will then insert the implants through these incisions. Once placed, the performing doctor will then close the small incisions.
While all surgeries are open to risks, the rate of infection for surgical implants is less than 5%. These specific risks and others can be discussed further at your consultation to assess your individual likelihood of risks.
