How Can I Lift Sagging Jowls?

Sagging jowls are a fact of life for many men and women. Aging, sun damage, lifestyle habits, and even genetics can all cause the loss of skin elasticity and gradual descent of facial tissues in the jowl region. However, loose and sagging jowls can safely and effectively be corrected with facelift surgery.

During a facelift procedure, underlying facial muscles are tightened and excess skin is removed to restore a natural, refreshed, and younger appearance. Sagging jowls are lifted, resulting in the improved contouring of the jawline. Facelift surgery can be done under local anesthesia alone, sedation, or general anesthesia depending on the needs and desires of individual patients. Depending on the extent of face lifting, recovery can last anywhere from 5-14 days.

Jowl correction and facelift surgery can be customized to fit your needs and overall goals. Facelifts can also be done in unison with additional cosmetic procedures to help you achieve dramatic, long-term results.
