WHAT IS RHINOPLASTY?
Rhinoplasty, commonly referred to as a nose job, can dramatically improve the appearance of your entire face by making small alterations to your nose. Even the smallest adjustments to your nose can have a profound impact on your entire appearance and facial profile. If you feel as though your nose does not fit with the rest of your facial features, Rhinoplasty may be the answer.

AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE?
Optimal candidates for Rhinoplasty are those looking to make aesthetic adjustments to their nose or individuals who require surgery to restore functionality of the nose. For example, people who have trouble breathing or have been impacted by nasal trauma can benefit from a Rhinoplasty procedure.
In preparation for the procedure, patients will be sedated with anesthesia to eliminate any pain while the surgery is being performed. An incision will be made inside both of the nostrils to lift the skin off the nose. Bone and cartilage is then adjusted beneath to modify the shape of the nose in order to achieve the patient’s desired appearance. Afterwards, the skin of the nose is placed back over the bone and cartilage and the incisions are closed.
*Individual Results May Vary.
Patients can expect to go home the day of their surgery. While you may be able to be up and moving within 24 hours, expect to take up to 7-10 days off from work as you heal. Before the surgery, patients will be given detailed instructions on how to care for their nose in the days following the surgery. Packing that is placed inside the nose during surgery is typically removed the following morning. Nasal dressings, splints, and sutures are removed between 6-7 days after the surgery.
We also prescribe pain medication to be taken during the first 24-72 hours following the surgery. After this time period, over the counter Tylenol is typically taken as needed. Our office will be available 24/7 to help answer any questions if needed. Please don’t hesitate to call with any concerns as caring for you during recovery is our top priority.
WHAT RESULTS WILL I SEE?
Projected results can actually be seen before the surgery is even performed. Computer imaging and simulation are available to help visualize what your nose will look like after the operation. Photos are taken from multiple angles and used to simulate the results we can achieve. This allows you an opportunity to provide feedback on the kind of results you have envisioned.
