Sculptra® is an FDA-approved injectable used to correct deep facial wrinkles and folds. By helping to gradually replace lost collagen, Sculptra® can help to treat this underlying cause of facial aging and provide results lasting up to two years.
How Sculptra® Works
Sculptra® is a poly-L-lactic-acid-based injectable dermal filler, which means it is composed of a gel substance or liquid. This liquid is injected into the skin, and pushes up on the dermis space between wrinkles and lines, reducing their appearance.
During the procedure, the specialist will inject the treatment within the deep dermis layer of skin, where collagen is stored. Sculptra® is gradually absorbed by the body as it helps to naturally stimulate collagen production. About three injection appointments are typically needed over the course of a few months.

Benefits of Sculptra®
There are many benefits for patients who have used Sculptra®, both immediate and long-lasting. Some of the positive effects of Sculptra® include increased skin thickness and facial volume, as well as the addition of natural collagen stimulation in the body. Sculptra’s® results are so noticeable, and long-term, that it is often referred to as a “liquid facelift”. The results can last up to two years, while the results of other similar dermal fillers may only last a few months.
