Blepharoplasty VS Brow Lift: Which is Right for Me?

A lot of attention has been paid to facial appearance lately, and it is important for us to look our best irrespective of our age. However, maintaining a youthful and healthy appearance can be quite difficult because of stress, genetics, and natural aging. At Speciality Aesthetics Surgery, we offer a variety of facial rejuvenation procedures for our patients.

Our eyes contribute immensely to our physical appearance. However, drooping eyelids or brows can reduce the sparkle in our eyes. A blepharoplasty and a brow lift can improve the appearance of your eyes, but they tackle different concerns.

How do you know the right treatment for your eyes between a blepharoplasty and a brow lift?

What is a Blepharoplasty?

A blepharoplasty, also known as an eyelid lift, is a procedure that removes and tightens excess skin below or above the eye. When your eyelid sags, it can give you a tired appearance and can eventually affect your vision in the long run if left untreated.

A blepharoplasty can give your eyes a healthier and more alert look. During your blepharoplasty procedure, an easily concealable incision is made at the natural creases of your eye. Afterward, the sagging skin and fat deposits on your eyelids are removed, and the underlying muscle is tightened.

What is a Brow Lift?

A brow lift is a minimally invasive procedure that reduces the appearance of heavy eyebrows, frown lines between your eyes, and the deep furrows on your forehead, giving you a youthful look. A brow lift requires 1-2 weeks of downtime and carries minimal side effects.

Blepharoplasty and Brow Lift: Which Procedure is Right for Me?

The ideal procedure depends on your concerns. If you struggle with sagging, heavy eyelids, then a blepharoplasty is a perfect treatment for you. However, if you want to address sagging brows, you should opt for a brow lift. Sometimes both procedures are required for optimal rejuvenation around the eyes.

If you struggle with droopy eyelids and sagging brows, we can arrange a customized procedure for you that will be carefully done to suit your needs.
